Howdy faithful readers!
To cut to the chase, as they say, I'm taking down "Big City, Small World." The blog has come to its logical conclusion, and so it's time for the blog to go.
I started this blog a couple of months after Reilly was born because she was changing so fast and I didn't want to forget a thing. It was impossible not to write then, and it was easier as well.
The job I was working at the time gave me two months of paternal leave and then allowed me to work part-time. The days off I spent with Reilly were rich and full of details that I felt I needed to take down and share with my friends and family across the country.
At its peak, the blog was receiving hundreds of visitors a day, was linked to by the famous Amy Storch of Amalah.com, and was updated by yours truly almost every day.
The blog is in its valley now.
There is still a lot worth writing about, but for now, I'll just let it be. As my friend Paul once said, "Writing is like a rash. It comes and then it goes."
In the meantime, I'll be sending out a bi-weekly email with photos for those who want to keep up with Reilly. Leave me a comment or send me an email if you'd like to be on the distribution list.
Thanks for reading!

Weekly Photos
Reilly's grandma, Donna, finally downloaded the photos off her camera. Here are some photos spanning from Christmas to March.

I think she's finally figuring out how things get done around here
It is 5:00 in the morning, when I awake to Reilly saying: "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"
"Yes, Reilly?"
"Daddy, I love you."
"Aw, I love you too, sweetpea."
I gave her a little hug, and went back to sleep.
Moments later, it is Reilly again, saying, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"
"Yes, Reilly?"
"Daddy, can you get me a glass of water?"
"Yes, Reilly?"

A big first...
Every day when I empty Reilly's backpack after school, I typically find some of the drawings she did over the course of the day.
Today I pulled out a piece of paper that had one of Reilly's classic family drawings in blue crayon, and then at the bottom, faintly written in pink crayon, was Reilly's name. Written by her.
I rushed into the living room and asked her, "Who wrote this name at the bottom?
She said, "I did."
I said, "How did you know how to do that?"
"I just knowed it and writed it," she said.

I gave her a big kiss and told her how proud I was. Then I took a picture of her drawing, doctored it up a bit so the Internet could see it (the pink crayon wouldn't show up in any photos) and posted it here for you to see.
Note that she ran out of room, so she doubled back and put the "Y" off to the left.

This week's photos
I didn't get many photos of Reilly this week. In fact, I think all of the photos posted below were taken by Shawn and our friend D'Drina.
