Yesterday, I took Reilly to the playground at Madison Square Park. As we were leaving, I noticed that the green was open. I parked the stroller under a tree and then parked Reilly in a sunny spot in the grass. Reilly's first reaction to the grass was confusion. She absolutely did not want to touch it.
What the hell is this stuff?
What do I do, Dad? But eventually she decided it was safe, and carefully combed the prickly blades with her hand.
I love the picture of just Reilly's hand combing the grass. I E-mailed your mom and said. G for Grass for the ABC book.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! It reminds of the first time I put Sophia in the grass. She held her hands and arms tight to her body and lifted her legs and feet so only her bum was touching the grass. :) Lesli
ReplyDeleteI read Helen's entry. Yes- G is for grass for the ABC book! Great pic!
ReplyDeleteWait til she touches her feet to the sand. There is a stage where they hate the sand. It could be soon. S is for Sand ;^)
